ABOUT ELISA
pronouns: she/her/hers
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island and my graduate degrees in social work and public health from Boston University. I worked for many years in medical social work with various populations, including women's health and HIV/AIDS. When I relocated to the triangle in 2011, I made the decision to shift my career focus to working exclusively with individuals.

In 2014, I began working at the UNC Department of Psychiatry at The Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (UNC CEED). I have specialized training and experience treating individuals who express concerns about their eating or who feel dissatisfied with their bodies, including individuals with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, or binge eating disorder. I operate from a Health at Every Size (HAES) Approach and encourage mindful movement and body neutrality.

In 2018, I opened my private practice. I have loved every minute of it...this is where I am meant to be! It is an honor and a privilege to hold space for my clients and I do not take it for granted.

When I am not working, I am spending time with my family, which includes my husband, two teenage children, and two spoiled dogs. They make my life complete! I enjoy baking muffins, reading fiction, and taking naps on the porch.
